Soft Herb Butter Pastries Recipe

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

• In a large bowl, mix the warm milk, warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

• Add the oil, salt, and gradually incorporate the flour until a soft, non-sticky dough forms. Knead for 5–7 minutes.

• Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

2. Divide and Rest

• Once risen, divide the dough into 3–4 equal portions and shape them into balls. Cover and let them rest for 10 minutes.

3. Prepare the Filling

• In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with parsley and garlic (if using).

4. Roll and Fill

• Roll out one dough ball into a large rectangular shape. Spread a generous layer of the herb butter mixture evenly over the surface.

5. Shape the Rolls

• Starting from one side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice the log into equal pieces (about 1–1.5 inches thick).
