Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
2 cups frozen tater tots
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
1/2 cup diced onions
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it’s fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning to the beef, along with a splash of water. Stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined.
- On a large baking sheet, spread the tater tots in an even layer. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Remove the tater tots from the oven and layer the seasoned beef evenly on top.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the beef.
- Return the sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once done, top with diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, and diced onions.
- Drizzle with sour cream and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
